Engitec Technologies S.p.A. designs, builds and supplies complete spent Lead Acid battery recycling plants which meet the most stringent environmental regulations all over the world. Engitec’s know-how ranges from the breaking of the batteries and their components separation, to the paste desulphurization, gaseous effluents treatment and up to lead production through smelting and refining or direct electrowinning of desulphurized paste. These plants process full batteries without releasing any liquid effluent, all the electrolyte being neutralized in the desulphurization unit. Engitec built plants in over 40 countries in the 5 continents and with capacities ranging from 3 to 40 t/h of treated batteries.
